How our prints are made
You recognise an Ay Güey tee by its finish. Here are the techniques you'll find in our product names, briefly explained – and what they mean for care and feel.

Set by hand
Rhinestones (Pedrería)
Hundreds of glass rhinestones are heat-set onto the fabric to create sparkling motifs. Set by hand, so every piece is unique. Losing a few stones over many washes is normal – wash inside out and don't tumble dry.

Metal, fixed by hand
Studs (Estoperol)
Metal studs in silver, gold or black, also applied with hotfix adhesive. Robust, with a rock edge. Same care as rhinestones.

Velvet touch
Flock
Fine textile fibres are applied electrostatically to the print – the result feels like velvet. Don't rub or fold while damp so nothing lifts.

3D relief
Puff print
An ink that expands as it cures and raises the motif into three dimensions. Soft and sculptural; never iron directly.

Photorealistic detail
Gel and HD gel print
Thick, glossy or transparent inks with very high detail – our technique for photorealistic luchador motifs. Ideal on dark shirts too.

Metallic shine
Shimmer and gold print
Metallic pigments create a sheen that plays in the light. Like all prints, shimmer may lose a little intensity in the first wash – after that it stays stable.

Large-scale, in the fibre
Screen printing and sublimation
The classic for large motifs and our full-print models. With sublimation the colour goes straight into the fibre; prints and sublimation may lose some intensity over time and with washing.
